You are a young child who is living in the Orange Archipelago with your mom. Every day you have been dreaming about becoming a famous Pokemon trainer. To do that, you keep practicing under the guidance of Professor Ivy – one friend of your mom. But you have never got a real Pokemon for yourself, you only use the Pokemon of Professor Ivy at her laboratory. One day, after being woken up by your mom… Professor Ivy is waiting for you. She brings you to her lab and gives you a surprise: you get a true Pokemon for the first time!!! Woohoo, this is what you have wanted for so long. And your happiness doesn’t last long since the grandson of Professor Oak, Gary Oak is also there. He also gets one Pokemon from Professor Ivy and challenges you to a fight. Of course with your pride and young spirit, you immediately accept that battle. Winning or losing will not be a problem since this is also a good chance to get experience.
